Of Hogs Heads and Bartenders

On Friday, I mused in the Potomac Review Literary Journal blog about evil in Lord of the Flies and The Shining. But I still don’t think I’ll be able to start reading The Shining anytime again soon, especially considering my brain’s obsessive tendencies – after 3 1/2 hours playing Chime (a Tetris-like game) on Saturday night, I spent all of Sunday viewing the world as a series of 3×3 spaces that need to be filled and made to disappear. Twenty-four hours on, I’m only just beginning to recover.
